My trail shoe belief system - a love lost love found story?
In this video, I share my personal journey in the quest to find the perfect trail running shoe, a struggle I'm sure many trail runners can relate to. After discovering my ideal shoe, it was discontinued, and now I’m once again searching for a replacement. Throughout the video, I also explain my “shoe belief system,” which focuses on factors like a narrow fit, good ground feel, a low heel-to-toe drop, and a flexible, lightweight design. I’ve recently tried out the Inov-8 MudTalon Speed, which meets many of my criteria, including a 4mm drop and precision fit. However, I’m still assessing its flexibility and how well it aligns with my belief system regarding ground feel and responsiveness.
Have you ever experienced this? Do you have a shoe belief system of your own? Let me know in the comments!
